Clock In for Jesus

Sermon Notes | Sunday, 6 September 2026

CLOCK IN FOR JESUS!

Colossians 3:23 (NKJV) “Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.”

Central Thought for Today:

We all have different jobs, different bosses, and different workplaces. But for the Christian, there is ultimately One Boss, Jesus!

 1. WORK IS GOD'S IDEA

Genesis 2:15 “Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.”

2. WORK FOR JESUS

Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.

3. YOUR WORK IS YOUR WITNESS

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

If someone followed you around at work for one week, would they know you belong to Jesus?

CLOCK IN FOR JESUS!

When you teach & work with children—do it for Jesus.
When you build, fix or repair—do it for Jesus.
When you serve your customers—do it for Jesus.
When you care for your patients—do it for Jesus.
When you serve in our military—do it for Jesus.
When you lead others—do it for Jesus.
When you care for your family—do it for Jesus.
When you work with your hands—do it for Jesus.

“Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.” Colossians 3:23

Conclusion:

We all have different jobs, different workplaces, but One Employer: JESUS CHRIST.

Will you accept God's grace and free gift of faith in Jesus today?

Pray this prayer to receive Jesus as your Savior:

“Lord Jesus, today I receive Your grace. I admit that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again to give me new life. Today, I turn from my old ways and invite You into my heart. Be my Lord, be my Savior, and help me follow You all the days of my life. Right now, I trust you as my Savior and will follow you as my Lord. Thank You for loving me. Amen.”

Assurance of Salvation

If you prayed that prayer and meant it in your heart, you can be sure that you are saved.

Romans 10:13 (NLT) “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

John 10:28 (NLT) “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me.”
