40 Days for Life

40 Days for Life is an internationally coordinated 40-day campaign that aims to end abortion locally through prayer and fasting, community outreach, and a peaceful all-day vigil in front of abortion businesses.

I'm so very thankful to be part of this ministry. A big shout out goes to Dustin and Talia Sega, who lead this ministry for Victory Church.

• The Illinois Department of Public Health reports that in 2023, there were 72,143 induced abortions statewide. (Illinois Department of Public Health)
• In a news article Dr. Colleen McNicholas she states, "The Planned Parenthood clinic in Fairview Heights saw about 10,000 patients in the year after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.”
• Another source (KSDK) states that the Fairview Heights clinic anticipates seeing around 10,000 abortion patients per year. 

If 10,000 abortions per year is close to current performance, that corresponds to:

• 833 abortions per month
• 27–28 abortions per day (assuming a 30-day month)
